Public Records

The new Public Records Law takes effect on January 1, 2017.

The Town Clerk is the Records Access Officer under that new law. 

As municipal chief executive, the Board of Selectmen has also voted, pursuant to MGL C.66,§6A, to appoint the following positions as “records access officers” under new Public Records Law: Town Administrator, Superintendent of Schools (subject to School Committee approval), LELWD General Manager (subject to Light & Water Commissioners' approval), Police Chief, and Fire Chief, effective January 1, 2017.
