The Planning Board was established in 1946 to review proposed Residential and Commercial Development in Littleton according to the State Subdivision Control Law, the State Zoning Act, and local Zoning Bylaws and Subdivision Regulations. The Planning Board is the issuing authority for Site Plan Review, and many of the Special Permits according to the Town Bylaws.
Senior Housing and Affordable Housing In Littleton: The Planning Board has contracted with consultant Judi Barrett of RKG for zoning assistance related to updating our zoning bylaws to support affordable housing, including housing options for seniors. The Planning Board hosted a "Community Conversation: Housing Choices for Senior Citizens and Their Families" on November 21, 2016. Judi Barrett's presentation at the Nov. 21 meeting is linked HERE. She then provided a "Framework for Senior Housing and Affordable Housing in Littleton" paper that the Planning Board will discuss at the January 5, 2017 meeting: 6:30 p.m. in Room 103 of Town Hall. UPDATE MAY 2015: Town Meeting APPROVED the "Nonconforming Structures" Zoning Bylaw Amendment, Article 17 of the May 5, 2015 Annual Town Meeting as written in the Planning Board report.
