Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan
Littleton, working with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), our Regional Planning Agency - created our Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.
This plan provides key recommendations to support walking, cycling, and rolling in Littleton; outlines the process the Town undertook to create this plan; offers guidance on striping of local roadways - including references regarding when/why it is recommended to consider NOT striping local roadways to increase pedestrian safety in certain cases; and reports detailed survey results. It will help guide decisions of the Town to support alternative transportation methods.
The Planning Board voted to adopt the August 2023 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan at the Planning Board meeting of October 12, 2023. And the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee voted to approve it at the BPAC meeting of November 14, 2023. Thank you to all the Littleton residents who participated in this planning process!
